Purchase Acrobat license
You can purchase a license for Acrobat from within the application by following the link at the bottom of the right pane.
Once your Acrobat trial expires, it displays a message with the 'Buy now' option. Select Buy now and follow the onscreen instructions.
My trial has expired. Can I still use Acrobat to view my PDFs?
Yes, Acrobat lets you view PDF files even if your trial has expired. You can also use the free tools like Comment and Fill & Sign. But to experience and use the full capabilities of Acrobat, you need to purchase a license.
OK, I purchased Acrobat. How do I license my trial copy of Acrobat?
If you purchased Adobe Acrobat via monthly or annual payment plan, follow the steps below.
For Windows
Method 1: For an Acrobat plan purchased on the same Adobe ID you used to sign in to Acrobat in trial mode or for a subscription.

Select OK. Restart Acrobat to activate it.
Method 2: For an Acrobat plan purchased on a different Adobe ID.

Go to
> Help > Activate. The following confirmation dialog box appears.

Select 'I have purchased Acrobat subscription using a different Adobe ID' option and then select Next.

On the Sign in screen, select Not your Adobe ID.

Enter the Adobe ID you used to purchase your Acrobat plan, and then select Sign In.

On the dialog that appears, select Continue.

On the confirmation dialog that appear, select OK to close the dialog box, and then restart Acrobat to activate it.
Method 3: For an Acrobat retail serial number.

Go to
> Help > Activate. The following confirmation dialog box appears.

Select the third option, enter your serial number, and then select Next.

Select Continue.
The trial version of Acrobat is uninstalled, and a new serial number–compatible installer is downloaded to complete the installation.
For Mac OS

In the tools pane on the right, select Activate.
On the information dialog that appears, select OK.

On the Sign In dialog, select Sign In.
If you purchased the Acrobat plan on an Adobe ID other than the one shown, select Not your Adobe ID.
If you select Not your Adobe ID, the following Sign In dialog box appears. Enter the Adobe ID and password you used to purchase your Acrobat plan, and select Sign In.

On the dialog that appears, select Continue, and then restart Acrobat to activate it.
I purchased an Acrobat serial number. Can I use it for the Acrobat trial?
If you purchased an Acrobat serial number, you need to download and install a separate Acrobat installer.
Before installing the newly downloaded Acrobat, uninstall the trial version installed on your machine.
Can I use Adobe Acrobat Reader now that my Acrobat trial has expired?
Yes, you can download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader at any time.
