Minimum system requirements for HEIF support

To import HEIF format files, ensure that you've the following minimum system requirements: 

macOS Version 11.0 and upwards. 

Windows 10 (64-bit) Version 20H2 or later (required). For Windows 10, you need to install both HEIF Image Extension and HEVC Video Extension. For more information on downloading the extensions, see HEIF Image Extensions and HEVC Video Extensions.

Additional system set up

Adobe Media Encoder must have the appropriate read-and-write access to decode and encode files. Ensure that system-wide software such as anti-virus or security applications are appropriately configured to allow Media Encoder to perform the required file actions. Check the manuals for these applications for details.
