Overview

The Adobe Connect 9.7.5 release implements various improvement requests, continues replacing Flash in Connect Central Web application pages with HTML5, and resolves several bugs.

Adobe Connect 9.7.5 rolls out in the following phases:

Starting March 5, 2018; check the migration schedule for your account here.

What's new in Adobe Connect 9.7.5
Adobe Connect application for desktop improvements
- Support for optional Start Menu and Desktop shortcuts (Windows only)
- Ability to select audio output speaker in a meeting (Windows only)
- Option to remember a user session in the Adobe Connect application for a computer (Windows and Mac)
- Open a new application session using the Ctrl+N shortcut keys (Windows only) and other improvements
Adobe Connect Central web application improvements
- The Audio Profiles setup page in Adobe Connect Central has been redesigned in HTML5
- Various improvements in the Adobe Connect Central home page
Miscellaneous improvements
- AEM upgraded to version 6.2 SP1
- MeetingOne adapter upgraded and other improvements
Changes to supported content in Adobe Connect 9.7.5
Support for the new Adobe Presenter 7 content is discontinued. While trying to upload Adobe Presenter 7 or an earlier version content to Adobe Connect, an error message is displayed. The existing Adobe Presenter 7 or an earlier version content in Adobe Connect continues to work in Adobe Connect 9.7.5.

For on-premise deployments, support for Windows Server 2016 is added in this release.

Adobe Connect application
This update includes a new version of the Adobe Connect application to join meetings. This is a non-mandatory version and older versions of the Adobe Connect application will continue to work with the Adobe Connect 9.7.5 release. However, Adobe recommends customers to update to this new version for utilizing various improvements released in 9.7.5.
You are prompted to install the new Adobe Connect application in the following scenarios:
- You share your screen or PowerPoint (PPTX format) files and do not have the Adobe Connect application installed.
If you are an administrator of a locked-down IT environment, Adobe recommends that you ensure that all of your end-users have the new version of the Adobe Connect application and Adobe Flash Player (version 13.0 or later) installed. Upgrade paths for on-premise deployments
The following are the prerequisites before you can upgrade to this release:
- From Adobe Connect 8.x, upgrade to Adobe Connect 9, then update to Adobe Connect 9.7.0b before applying this patch.
- From Adobe Connect 9.x, update to Adobe Connect 9.7.0b before applying this patch.
