Creative Cloud products launch in trial mode on non-English operating systems | Creative Cloud

Issue: Non-English Creative Cloud application launches in trial mode.

You purchased an Adobe Creative Cloud membership and, when you launch a Creative Cloud application in a non-English language, it opens in trial mode. This page provides a solution to this issue.

Solution

The Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app defaults to your operating system's language. You can adjust the language to English by completing the following steps:

  1. Click the Creative Cloud icon  in the menu bar (Mac) or taskbar notification area (Windows), to open the Creative Cloud desktop app.

    Note:

If you can't find the Creative Cloud icon on your screen, you may have quit the Creative Cloud desktop app. To relaunch it:

Windows: Type Creative Cloud in Search next to the Windows logo in the lower-left corner of the screen.

Mac: Click the Finder icon in the Dock, and then search for Creative Cloud.app.

  2. Click the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner of the app.

Additional information

This issue occurs if you purchased the English language-only membership, but the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app is set to a different language.

When installed, Adobe Creative Cloud sets the language to the default for the operating system.  If your default is German, then Adobe Creative Cloud sets the language for your Creative Cloud applications to German.

For details on how to check which Creative Cloud membership you have, go to the Adobe Store for your country.  Click My Orders, Your Purchases, or Your Account.
