  1. Open a design in the Adobe Express editor and select the element you want to lock.

  2. Select the three-dots   icon, then select:

    • Fully Lock: To prevent the element from being moved or edited.
    • Lock: Allow image replace: To lock the element's position and styling (size, font, color, and animation) but still allow you to replace the image.
  3. For text objects, once locked, select the text again to access Lock: allow text replace from the HUD.

  4. Further adjust the lock permissions in the left panel, under Lock settings.

    • Text: Select Adjust locked text box to adjust the behavior, alignment, and size.
    • Image: Select Replace image to upload a new photo or choose from Adobe assets.
  5. To unlock an element, hover over the replaceable lock icon and select it again to unlock the tooltip appears.

Note:
  • Text objects using Dynamic layout can't be set as replaceable when locked.
  • When replacing locked images, the background removal isn’t retained. You can remove the background and reframe it after replacing it.
