Release Notes for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) Update 3

This document contains late-breaking product information, updates, and troubleshooting tips not covered in the Adobe Captivate documentation. 

What's new in this update

The Update 3 of the 2019 release of Captivate consists of a few bug fixes and deprecated interactions due to low usage.

System requirements

For Adobe Captivate system requirements, see System Requirements.

Ensure that Captivate 11.0.0.243 or 11.0.1.266 or 11.5.0.476 build version is already installed.

Installation instructions

  1. Open Adobe Captivate, and choose Help > Check for Updates. The Adobe Captivate Updater appears.

  2. After clicking Update Now, the update starts to install.

  3. When the installation is complete, you can see the Update Complete dialog.

  4. Click Close or to start Adobe Captivate, click Launch. 

    Note:

    After installing this update, verify that the build number is 11.5.1.499.

    On the toolbar, click Help > About Adobe Captivate.

Issues fixed in this update

  • When recording a software simulation after choosing the option Use Smart Shapes instead of Captions, Captivate becomes unresponsive.
  • When a course contains a random question slide, you are unable to launch the course after revisiting it after suspending or resuming the course.
  • While upgrading a project to a Captivate (2019 release) Update 2 project, the process suspends at 80%, and resumes in a while.
  • When using multiple themes, a few theme properties that were defined in the Object Style Manager do not get updated as expected.
