Error "Exit code: 26" when deploying a package

When deploying a package created using Creative Cloud Packager, you see the following message in the PDApp.log file:

Exit code: 26 - Media swap required to continue installation, cannot proceed.

Related errors in the log files can include:

Solution: Re-create the deployment package

Some files are missing from the installation package. Re-create the package. See Create packages.

Also, re-create media_db.db and any associated files. Delete the CAPS database folder and its backup from any computers to which the package was deployed:

Windows

  • Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\caps
  • Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\backup

Mac OS

  • /Library/Application Support/Adobe/caps
  • /Library/Application Support/Adobe/backup
