Learn about what's new in the April 2025 release of Lightroom Classic.
The AI-powered Select Landscape mask helps you quickly transform and edit the landscape elements in your photos. This feature simplifies editing by automatically selecting and creating masks for these elements.

Select Masking > Landscape. From the Landscape Mask Options, select a landscape feature and then select Create Mask.

A new Masks panel will open. You can now adjust the existing mask using the editing sliders and Add, Subtract, or Delete masks.

You can now manage your old catalogs in Lightroom Classic.

Select File > Open Recent > Manage Catalogs to view the recent catalog list.

Select the catalog(s) you want to remove and select Remove from Recent to remove them from the list.
Select Remove All to remove all the catalogs from the list

The catalogs are removed from the Manage Catalog list. They are not deleted from the computer.
Tether improvements
You can now turn off the focus point selection in the Tether Live View by adjusting the settings in the Tethered Capture Settings window. This functionality lets you see your shots in real-time, making it easier to fine-tune focus and other camera settings directly from the Tether bar. This improvement enhances your workflow, especially for manual focus adjustments, giving you a more efficient and customizable tethered shooting experience.

Checkerboard support
You can now see a checkerboard pattern in transparent areas while using the Crop and Transform tool, making them easier to spot.
