Manage your Help content using projects

In FrameMaker, a project gives a single-window view of the resources within your Help system. The project management feature allows you to create projects and manage all resources related to a project from a single place. You can create a project and add all resources (such as files and folders) related to that project from different locations on your computer. You can also add resources by easily dragging files from Windows Explorer and dropping them into the project window.

The project management feature allows you to perform the following tasks with ease and help you to enhance your productivity:

  • Single-window view of all project-related files and folders
  • Drag-and-drop content from Windows Explorer to add content to your project
  • Drag-and-drop content across locations to easily organize content within your project
  • Insert an image by simply dragging it from project window and dropping it on to your document
  • Rename files and folders

  4. Click OK.

The location gets added to your project. In the project window, you can see all resources available in the location that you added.

  5. Once you have made the required changes to your project, click Save.
