Starting with Acrobat and Acrobat Reader June 2022 release (version 22.001.20142 and later), the MIP plugin is bundled with the installer and does not require a separate installation.
Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) is a Microsoft rights management solution. Users of Azure Information Protection and other Microsoft Information Protection solutions can use Acrobat or Acrobat Reader to read labeled and protected content.
Note:
If you are using any of the previous versions of Acrobat or Acrobat Reader and have installed the MIP plug-in separately, then it is recommended to uninstall the MIP plug-in before updating Acrobat or Acrobat Reader to the latest version.
Download the MIP plug-in for older versions
To view a MIP-protected file in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader, check for the corresponding plug-in, and then click the appropriate download link in the table below. After the download is complete, double-click the installer to begin the installation.
