Get started with Creative Cloud by downloading and installing your apps. Whether you're setting up for the first time or adding apps to a new computer, follow these steps to get up and running.

Tip:

You can install Creative Cloud apps on multiple computers. Learn more.

Get started with Creative Cloud apps

  1. Sign in to the Adobe Home website.

You'll see all available apps in your subscription.

    Note:

If you're using an account provided by your school or company, you may need to request access to specific apps through your IT administrator.

  2. Find the app you want to install and select the Download or Install button next to it.

The Creative Cloud desktop app will automatically download with your first app installation.

The Apps tab of the Creative Cloud web shows the apps available to launch, install, open in browser, or open in desktop.
Our web apps don’t require installation. You can launch them in a browser window by selecting Open.

    Note:

Looking only for the Creative Cloud desktop app? You can download it directly

  3. Locate the downloaded installer file (usually in your Downloads folder) and double-click the file to launch the installer.

  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

The Creative Cloud desktop app will open automatically once installation is complete

  5. Once you have the Creative Cloud desktop app installed, select Install next to any additional apps you want.

Troubleshoot common issues

Most errors are associated with a code. To find instructions for your error code, see Fix errors installing Creative Cloud apps.

For connectivity issues, see Fix common connectivity issues.

Sign out and then sign in to the Creative Cloud desktop app. If the issue still persists, see Stop Creative Cloud from showing trial mode after purchase

Deactivation disconnects your apps from a specific computer, and lets you run them on another computer. You can sign out (or deactivate) using your Adobe accounts page.

If you receive an "Activation limit reached" or "Sign-in failed" error, see Creative Cloud "Activation limit reached" or "Sign-in failed" error.
