Discover how creators in Lightroom Classic can use Content Credentials (Early Access) to obtain proper recognition and promote transparency in the content creation process.
With the October 2024 release of Lightroom Classic (version 14.0), you can secure your content with Content Credentials when you export your photo.
Learn more about the benefits of adding Content Credentials.
Content Credentials in Lightroom Classic
Content Credentials must be turned on for each document in Lightroom Classic to record edits and activities. Lightroom Classic records the information that Content Credentials can reference when you export. Content Credentials require an active Internet connection.
-
-
Select the Apply Content Credentials option, which is currently available as Early Access in the Content Credentials section.
NoteThe Content Credentials are currently supported only on JPEG files during Export. Select JPEG from the Format drop-down menu.
-
Select the Storage method:
- Publish to Content Credentials cloud - This lets you publish the information on a public Content Credentials cloud separate from the cloud file storage included in your Adobe plan. This option makes Content Credentials persistent and recoverable. It keeps files smaller but less private since Content Credentials published to the cloud may appear in results when people search for content that matches or closely resembles your own.
- Attach to files - This lets you add Content Credentials to the file without uploading to any cloud or server. This makes your information more private but increases the file size.
- Attach and publish to cloud - This option lets you directly attach Content Credentials to the files and publish them to the Content Credentials cloud.

If the Content Credentials are missing after your content is published online, they can be recovered with Adobe Inspect. In Adobe Inspect, your published Content Credentials may appear as possible matches for content that is visually similar to your own.
