Start Photoshop and choose Windows > Actions.
Issue: Actions go missing when you update Photoshop or install Photoshop on a new computer.
Solution 1: Save and load actions
Use one of the solutions below to migrate actions from one version of Photoshop to another, or between instances of Photoshop installed on different computers.
Source installation: Save actions as a .atn file

In the Actions panel flyout menu, click New Set. Enter a name for the new action set.

Ensure that the new action set is selected. Now, drag to it the actions you want to include in the action set.

Select the action set you just created and, from the Actions panel flyout menu, choose Save Actions. Photoshop creates the .atn file. The default location of the saved .atn file is as follows:
- (Windows) C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop <version>\Presets\Actions
- (macOS) Applications\Adobe Photoshop <version>\Presets\Actions
Target installation: Load actions
Follow the steps given below to import actions on another computer or into a different version of Photoshop.

Launch Photoshop and choose Window > Actions.

Choose Load Actions from the Actions panel flyout menu. Select the *.atn file you want to import.
Solution 2: Manually migrate actions and presets
Follow the steps given below to migrate actions to a newly-installed version of Photoshop.

Navigate to one of the following folders on the source installation:
- (Windows) C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe
Photoshop <version>\Adobe Photoshop <source_version> Settings - (macOS) Users/<user name>/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop <source_version > Settings
Note:In folder paths or names listed in the procedures, replace the parts between angular brackets '<>' with the details required. Replace <user name> with your account name. Replace <version> with the version of Photoshop you are using.
- (Windows) C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe

Copy the Actions Palette. psp file

Paste the copied file at the following location on the target installation of Photoshop:
- (Windows) C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop <version>\Adobe Photoshop <target_version> Settings
- (macOS) Users/<user name>/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop <target_version> Settings
