Adjust color for hue, saturation, and lightness

Learn to use Adjust Color to make non-destructive edits to hue, saturation, and lightness.

Use Adjust Colors from the Contextual Task Bar to modify hue, saturation, and lightness via a predetermined color theme

  1. Select Adjust colors ( ) from the Contextual Task Bar when the image opens. 

    Tip:

    This adds a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer in the Layers panel for non-destructive editing. 

  2. Six of the most prominent colors will be automatically displayed on the canvas. Select any of the thumbnails that appear on canvas or in the Properties panel. 

  3. Adjust the Hue, Saturation, and Lightness sliders to see real-time color changes. 

  4. Use the eyedropper icon ( ) to save and adjust other colors in the image. 

  5. Use the color range tool to refine the color adjustment to specific targeted areas.
