Frequently asked questions about the Adobe Premiere Rush discontinuation.
Premiere Rush will no longer be available for download from Adobe.com or mobile app stores as of September 30, 2025. After that date, customers may continue to use Premiere Rush on devices where it’s already installed until the app is discontinued on September 30, 2026. It will be replaced by Premiere on iPhone and Premiere Pro on desktop.
In 2019, we launched Premiere Rush as a lightweight video editing app for desktop and mobile platforms. Since then, we’ve taken key learnings from Premiere Rush to inform the next generation of Adobe video editing experiences, including the new Premiere on iPhone app.
Premiere Rush will no longer be available for download from Adobe.com or app stores starting September 30, 2025. Customers with Premiere Rush entitlements will still be able to install the desktop app through the More apps from Adobe section of the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app.
After September 30, 2025, existing Premiere Rush customers may continue to use the app on mobile and desktop devices where it’s already installed. However, new devices and/or operating system updates will affect the reliability and performance of the app. Customers who rely on Premiere Rush for existing projects should consider staying on current configurations.
Technical support will end on September 30, 2026. After that date, Premiere Rush will no longer be available via the Creative Cloud desktop app, and the Premiere Rush apps may no longer function.
Premiere Rush subscription renewals will stop after September 30, 2025. This means you may lose access to premium features prior to September 30, 2026, though you can still access the free versions of the app. Please check your subscription renewal date as you plan your transition.
Premiere Rush is being replaced by Premiere on iPhone and Premiere Pro on desktop.
Premiere on iPhone is a free, easy-to-learn video editor that’s built using the latest mobile app technologies. Customers with iPhones can pre-order Premiere on iPhone as of September 4, 2025. An Android version of Premiere is also in development.
We’ve also taken key learnings from Premiere Rush to inform the Premiere Pro desktop interface, and we offer free training guides to help beginners learn Premiere Pro. Projects created in the new Premiere on mobile apps will also be accessible in the Premiere Pro desktop app.
