Enable the New custom workflow experience

The new version of this experience includes the most commonly used features, but it does not yet match the full functionality of the classic version. Refer to the Supported Elements page for a list of currently available features and those still in development. Additional features will be added in future releases.

Unlock the latest version of the Acrobat Sign Workflow Designer to create custom workflows using the new Compose interface. This modern experience improves usability and enhances security using the latest API features.

The new Workflow Designer offers a streamlined way to build custom Compose pages when sending a new agreement. It supports a flexible user experience and improves the security and reliability of custom workflows.

If your users still rely on the classic interface, you can configure settings that allow them to toggle between the two.

Configuration

Availability:

  • Acrobat Standard and Acrobat Pro: Not Configurable
  • Acrobat Sign Solutions: Supported 
  • Acrobat Sign for Government: Supported

Configuration scope:

Administrators can enable this feature at the account and group levels.

Access this feature by navigating the administrator's configuration menu to Global Settings > New custom workflow experience

Note:

All customers using custom workflows are strongly encouraged to enable the newest experience as soon as possible to ensure the improved security and functionality of the new APIs are being used.
All online help documentation is written with the assumption that you are using the newest verison.

There are two options that can be configured:

Enable this setting to automatically load the new experience when a user starts an agreement using a workflow.

The Classic UI with the Modern UI offset over it.

Enable this setting to show users a toggle link in the upper-right corner of the Workflow Designer. This link lets them move between the classic and modern interfaces.

  • If disabled, users cannot switch interfaces.
  • This setting gives you more control over when users migrate to the new experience.
