Generative transform

In: Substance Model graph/Distribution

Intermediate

Description

The Generative transform node performs a transformation operation on a set of particles, and outputs the result recursively as copies in the same scene.

Parameters

  • Input scene
    • Source Scene
The input scene holding the elements which should be transformed.
    • Filtering expression String
The transformation will be applied exclusively to elements which match the criteria defined by this expression. Learn more in the Path expressions and filtering section.
  • Iterations
    • Count Integer
The number of recursive iterations for applying the specified transformation.
  • Unit transform
    • Translation Vector3
The offset applied to the particles on each axis.
    • Euler rotation Vector3
The rotation applied to the particles on each axis, expressed as degrees.
    • Uniform scale Boolean
Specifies whether scaling should be applied uniformly on all axes.
    • Scaling Float/Vector3
The amount of scaling applied to the particles on each (Vector3) or all (Float) axes, depending on the value of the Uniform scale parameter. Scaling is expressed as a multiplier where 1 is the original scale.
  • Basis
    • Basis Scene
The scene holding the reference Basis to be used.
    • Basis mode Integer
The arrangement of the axis in the reference Basis.
