Particles from instances

In: Substance Model graph/Extraction

Simple

Description

The Particles from instances node generates a Particle at the location of each instance of an Item.

Note:

To detect instances in a Scene, each branch of the Scene is parsed until instances are found. At that point, search in that branch does not continue further. This means instances which are children of other instances will not be detected.
Example:

  • Root
    • Group1
      • instance1 Detected
        • instance2 Not detected
      • instance3 Detected
    • instance4 Detected

Parameters

  • Instances Scene
The Scene holding the Item instances

  • Pivot placement Integer
Controls the placement of the pivot for the generated particles:
    • Bounding box center: The pivot is placed at the center of the generated cloud of Particles
    • Parent: The pivot is placed at the pivot of the instance's parent
