Creative Cloud desktop app lists uninstalled apps as "Up to date"

Issue: Adobe Creative Cloud desktop applications are listed as up-to-date when they aren't installed.

The Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application may list applications that are not actually installed as up to date. This behavior occurs when an Adobe application has been removed without the use of the normal installer. Try the solutions below to resolve the issue.

Solution 1: Run the uninstaller.

Run the uninstaller for the Adobe application that is listed as up to date.

  • Mac OS: Run the app's uninstaller, in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.
  • Windows: Use the Programs And Features Control Panel to remove the program listed as up-to-date.

Solution 2: Remove the OPM.db file and log in again.

Remove the OPM.db file and log in again to the Creative Cloud desktop application using the Adobe ID tied to your Creative Cloud subscription.

Solution 3: Install the latest version of the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app.

  1. Go to the Creative Cloud for desktop download page.
  2. Click Download.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Solution 4: Remove all Creative Cloud software.

See Solution 1 for instructions on how to remove all installed Adobe Creative Cloud software. Once you have removed all Adobe apps, use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to ensure a complete removal. You can find details in Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems.
