Go to System Settings > Display > Presets on your HDR display or build-in Apple laptop display.
HDR display is now supported in Photoshop on macOS and Microsoft Windows.
For systems using macOS, the setting will be on by default.
For systems using Windows, the setting will be off by default and must be enabled by the user.
There are also certain display settings that must be set before full functionality of the feature is achieved. Follow these steps to ensure the proper settings are enabled, depending on the display and operating system setup:
macOS with an Apple HDR display

Select the Apple XDR Display (P3-1600 nits) preset.

In Photoshop, HDR display should be on by default, but go to Preferences > Technology Previews > Precise color management for HDR Display to confirm the box is selected.
macOS with a non-Apple HDR display

To ensure your OS settings are properly set to display HDR, go to System Settings > Display and toggle ON the High Dynamic Range option.

Windows with an HDR display

Photoshop HDR display is only supported on Windows 11. Ensure you're on Windows 11.

To confirm your display supports HDR, go to System > Display > HDR > Display Capabilities.

To enable HDR on your monitor, go to System > Display > HDR > select the Use HDR toggle.

To turn on HDR in Photoshop, go to Preferences > Technology Previews > Precise color management for HDR Display and select the box to activate the feature.
