Learn how to use the Creative Cloud Diagnostics tool to identify and resolve issues with Adobe apps.

The Adobe Creative Cloud Diagnostics tool helps you identify and fix common issues with Adobe apps such as Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Lightroom, and others. The tool checks for problems like crashes, performance slowdowns, system configuration problems, and incompatible Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) drivers.

Note

Don't run the Creative Cloud Diagnostics executable file located in the Creative Cloud folder, as this may cause unexpected errors.

The tool automatically launches after you submit a crash report. Follow these steps to run the tool:

Select Check System to start scanning your system and app settings.

Adobe Creative Cloud Diagnostics dialog box displays the 'Check for app issues' alert and the options to select 'Not now' or 'Check System'.
The Diagnostics tool checks for known issues in your system and Adobe apps.

Wait for the tool to check your system and suggest fixes. These may include suggestions to upgrade the app or reset preferences.

Select the appropriate fix from the Recommended fixes section and follow the on-screen instructions.

Adobe Creative Cloud Diagnostics window for Adobe Illustrator displays the 'Recommended fixes' alert with recommendations to update the app and reset preferences.
The Diagnostics tool identifies app issues and suggests recommended fixes.

In case the diagnostics tool finds no issues, you'll see a message indicating that no problems were detected.

Once the issues are successfully fixed, select Close to exit the tool.
