What's New in the August 2025 release of Lightroom
The August release of Lightroom provides support for the following feature enhancements, bug fixes, and stability improvements:
Lightroom on desktop and mobile:
- Items added to the trash will be permanently deleted after 30 days.
- Generative Remove and People Distraction Removal are now better than ever with enhanced experience and speedy results.
- (Android) Quickly batch apply a border to multiple images together in the Share and Export as settings.
- (Android) The Update AI edits dialog box will be available when you create and share an edit replay.
- (Android) Automatically scroll to and see a highlight when you create a new album.
- (Android) You can now batch-apply a watermark to multiple images together.
- (Android) Support for Android 15.
Top new features in Lightroom
June 2025 release of Adobe Lightroom on desktop (version 8.4) and Lightroom on mobile (version 10.4).
You can now remove extra people from a photo using the People Removal feature, and eliminate window or glass reflections with the Reflections Removal feature.
In Lightroom for mobile, use the Scene Enhance feature to enhance landscape elements like mountains, water, ground, sky, and more in your photos.
