Learn how to generate captions for videos.

Use the Caption Video feature in Adobe Express to automatically create captions using the audio content in your videos and improve accessibility as well as viewer engagement.

Try it in the app
Create captions for your video in a few simple steps.

  1. On the Adobe Express homepage, select Video.

  2. In the Video Quick actions section, select Caption video.

  3. Select the language from the Language spoken in video dropdown.

  4. Browse for a video on your device.

  5. Use the Edit caption text field to make changes to the generated caption.

    The Caption video window is open and it has uploaded video with the auto-generated caption. It has Edit caption text field to make any changes in the auto-generated caption text. This window also has options to choose or cutsomize style for the generated caption text.
    Once the caption is generated, you can use the Edit caption text field to make any changes in the auto-generated caption text.

  6. Select Choose a style to specify a style for your caption, or select Customize color to change the text, shape, or shadow colors.

  7. Select Download.

Result

A video with the generated caption is downloaded. The caption appears as an overlay synced to the video’s audio in the specified style.
