To purchase an Adobe® Connect™ solution, you can choose either the hosted server version or license your own enterprise server version. An enterprise version is deployed behind your firewall or by a managed services provider in a FISMA-compliant environment. Shared storage requirements

For deploying Adobe Connect Server with network attached storage or storage area networks, the following specifications are recommended:

  • Disk specs: 10,000–15,000 RPM — Fibre Channel preferred
  • Network link: TCP/IP — 1 GB I/O throughput or better
  • Controller: Dual controllers with Active/Active multipatch capability
  • Protocol: CIFS or equivalent

For deploying Adobe Connect Server with directory services integration, any LDAP-compliant directories. The following LDAP directory servers have been tested with Adobe Connect:

 Universal Voice using Flash Media Gateway

To use Universal Voice, install and configure Flash Media Gateway. Configure Flash Media Gateway to call through a SIP-compliant end point that allows calls to be routed to your preferred audio conferencing service.

While Flash Media Gateway can be installed on the same system as the application server, it is recommended that it be installed on a separate system.

To schedule Adobe Connect Meetings within Outlook, install the Adobe Connect Add-in for Microsoft Outlook on each system that has Outlook installed. The following hardware and software are required.

Adobe Connect Collaboration Builder SDK

To develop applications for use with Adobe Connect, install the Collaboration Builder MXP plug-in for Adobe Flash CS4 Professional software. The Collaboration Builder software development kit (SDK) system requirements are the same as for Flash CS4 Professional. Compile Collaboration Builder applications for Flash Player 7 and ActionScript® 2.0.

If you are using Collaboration Builder applications in Adobe Connect, adhere to the standard Adobe Connect participant requirements.
