Explore all the editing options available once you add an image to the canvas while working on a mood board.

Once you add the image to the canvas and select it, you have multiple edit options to enhance, modify, and customize it according to your needs.

Properties panel

When you select an image in the canvas and select the Properties    icon to open the Properties panel, where you can modify image attributes:

Use the Properties panel to adjust the Transform and Appearance properties of the selected image.

  • Transform: You can add value for rotation and flip the image vertically or horizontally.
  • Appearance: Select the blend mode to specify how the image interacts with other elements on the canvas and adjust the image opacity.

Prompt

Open the prompt bar showing the text description used to generate the image. It also lists the generation settings used, such as style and composition references.

The image on the canvas is selected, and the edit options are available. The Prompt option is chosen to reveal the prompt used for image generation.
The Prompt option allows you to reveal and edit the prompt used for image generation, enabling you to create another set of image variations.

Note:

The Prompt option is unavailable for images edited after being added to the canvas.

Edit

Use the Generative fill and Generative expand capabilities to edit the image.

  • Generative fill: Add new elements or remove existing ones from the images non-destructively using simple brush strokes and text prompts.
The image on the canvas is selected, and the option to add or subtract highlighted sections using Generative Fill is available.
Edit the image directly on the canvas by adding or subtracting details using Generative fill.

  • Generative expand: Expand the canvas of an image and incorporate missing details or entirely new elements in the extended area. Provide a detailed description in the Prompt bar to specify how you want the background to be extended, or leave it blank to extend it based on the existing image.
The image on the canvas is selected, and the option to change its resolution using Generative Expand is available.
Extend and fill the image using the Generative expand feature, either with a text prompt or automatically based on the image composition.

Remove background

Remove the background of the image and make it transparent.

The image in the canvas is selected and the option to remove background is highlighted.
Effortlessly remove the background of an image added to the canvas and leave it transparent.

Open in Photoshop

The selected image is a Photoshop cloud document and opens in Photoshop on the web page. 

The image from the canvas is opened in Photoshop on the web, where various editing options are available through the controls.
Open the selected image from the canvas in Photoshop on the web to access advanced image editing controls.

Open in Adobe Express

Open the image in Adobe Express to add it to your Adobe Express projects.
