Adobe Captivate requires internet access to specific URLs for some features to work correctly. In restricted networks (firewall/proxy/closed environments), these features may not load or may fail to complete actions such as generating AI voices, using generative AI, sharing projects for review, or loading assets.
This article provides:
- A minimum allowlist by feature (recommended starting point)
- A full allowlist for broader compatibility
- Version-specific requirements (Captivate v13 vs v12.5/v12.6)
To use these features, your IT or security team must add the following URLs to the allowed list.
Why is this list required
Use this allowlist guidance when:
- Your organization restricts internet access for desktop apps or specific domains.
- Generative AI features or AI voices don’t work in Captivate.
- Sharing a project for review fails, or reviewers can’t load comments.
- The Assets panel doesn’t load Adobe Stock or partner assets.
Minimum allowlist by feature (recommended)
This baseline is a practical starting point for policy updates. Depending on your environment (regional routing, proxy/TLS inspection, identity policy), additional domains from the Full allowlist (broad compatibility) may be required.
| Feature / scenario | Captivate version | Baseline endpoints to allow |
|---|---|---|
| Generative AI and AI voices | Captivate v13 | https://*.adobe.io/* ; https://*.amazonaws.com/* |
| AI voices for text-to-speech generation | Captivate v12.5 and v12.6 | https://cpassets.adobe.com ; https://api.elevenlabs.io |
| Share a project for review | As applicable | comments.adobe.io ; cc-collab.adobe.io ; cc-api-storage.adobe.io ; captivate.adobe.com ; ccassetreview.adobe.io ; invitations.adobe.io |
| Accessing Assets panel | As applicable | Use the Assets panel allowlist section below (core + additional domains listed). |

Validation and optional IT checks
The items below are examples of validation approaches used in internal IT-admin guidance drafts. Adapt them to your organization’s proxy/TLS inspection tooling and policy.
AI voices (v12.5/v12.6): validate reachability
Example checks:
- curl -I https://cpassets.adobe.com
- curl -I https://api.elevenlabs.io
- Test-NetConnection cpassets.adobe.com -Port 443
- Test-NetConnection api.elevenlabs.io -Port 443
Share for review: validate review endpoints
Confirm the review hostnames listed under Share a project for review are reachable.
Assets panel: validate domains
Confirm the identity and wildcard domains listed under Accessing Assets panel are reachable.
Notes for IT or security teams
- Prefer exact domains where possible; use wildcards only when required by your tooling or policy.
- If you use TLS inspection, ensure it does not block or interfere with outbound requests required by these services.
