Watch this video and learn how to select an area of an image and adjust the hue, saturation, and more.

  1. Select Select area > Tap select   to make a selection.

    Tip:

    You can use any other selection tools available in the Select area tool group.

  2. Select the checkmark   if the selection looks good.

  3. Select Adjust area   and choose from the following as needed:

    • Hue and saturation: Change colors, saturation, and lightness.
    • Brightness and Contrast: Make simple adjustments to the tonal range.
    • Black and white: Change color to black and white.
    • Color balance: Adjust the balance of color throughout.
    • Exposure: Make adjustments to the amount of light.
    • Curves: Adjust the lightness and darkness of an image using a curve.
    • Vibrance: Enhance muted colors.
    Note:

    Any edits you make using the listed options will be applied to a new adjustment layer and will be non-destructive in nature.

  4. To make further adjustments, make a selection and then select Fill area > Color fill   to colorize the image and create a similar non-destructive adjustment layer.

  5. Open Layers panel. Then, select the adjustment layer that you’d like to refine further.

  6. Select Layer properties   and adjust the following as needed:

    • Blend and opacity: Create subtle or dramatic blends and control the transparency of layers.
    • Edit mask: Finetune the mask to add or subtract areas.
    • Modify mask: Refine the mask using options like Expand/Contract, Feather, Smooth, Make Border, and Transform Mask.
    • Transform: Resize, rotate, or skew the layer.
