Explore answers to frequently asked questions about the free Creative Cloud Pro India for higher education (HED) offer for eligible institutions in India.

Adobe believes in creativity for all and is committed to empowering the next generation with the tools they need to thrive. To support this vision, Adobe is providing eligible higher education institutions in India with complimentary access to Creative Cloud Pro India for HED. This initiative helps students and faculty access industry-leading AI-powered creative tools to design, collaborate, and innovate with confidence.

The article helps IT administrators from eligible higher education institutions learn how to obtain free licenses, plan allocations, and manage end-to-end deployments.

Higher education institutions are eligible for the offer if they meet all of the following conditions:

  • They are constituted under applicable Indian law.
  • They are accredited by a competent government or statutory authority to provide higher education, vocational training, or academic research.
  • They successfully complete the required education verification.
Note

To access the offer, institutions must have Federated ID configured. If your institution has an ETLA with Adobe, confirm that Federated ID is already configured. If not, Adobe will send a VIP enrollment invitation, which you must accept before configuring Federated ID.

To facilitate institution-wide participation, you must send an email to Adobe at hedindiaedu@adobe.com from the registered institutional email ID. The email must include key details such as the institution’s name, address, accreditation body, number of licenses required, and any other relevant information. After verifying eligibility, Adobe will contact your institution directly and provision the free Creative Cloud Pro for India licenses.

Note

Institutions that want to participate in this program but are not currently using Federated IDs must first set up their Federated IDs before submitting their email to Adobe.

Federated ID for SSO requires an organizational identity system, such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or another SAML-compliant identity provider.

Consider the following before you start allocating licenses:

  • Your institution receives one free license per individual user, applicable uniformly across faculty, staff, and students.
  • You can distribute the free licenses to faculty, staff, and students in any combination.
  • License allocation must not exceed 100% of the institution’s officially reported user headcount (students + faculty/staff).

Once the free Creative Cloud Pro for India plan appears in your Admin Console, you can proceed with the standard application deployment workflow. The following resources provide step‑by‑step guidance on licensing and deployment to help your users begin accessing the applications smoothly:

Adobe will review the offer annually and reserves the right to discontinue it at any time.

After Adobe validates the institution and adds the offer to the Admin Console, it can be assigned to faculty and students.
