Learn how to add text to your artboard and edit it to refine the effectiveness of your mood board.

The text on the mood board offers context and explanations for the visual elements, emphasizing the key aspects that require attention. Components like quotes, taglines, and descriptive words help organize the mood board, making it easier to navigate and understand. Firefly Boards (beta) allows an easy-to-use context menu and Properties panel while working with text in the mood board.

Before you begin

Add an artboard to the canvas.

  1. Use the Text  option in the left toolbar to activate the text cursor.

  2. Select anywhere within the canvas where you want to add the text field and start typing.

  3. Use the text editing options to modify the text as needed.

There are images on the canvas, and a text box has been added. The Properties panel is open, offering options to edit its properties.
Use the text editing controls and the Properties panel to experiment with different text styles and find what works best for your mood board.

  4. Use the Properties   icon to activate the Properties panel, where you can modify text attributes like blend mode, opacity, and color, as well as text box characteristics such as size, position, and rotation.
