Learn how to cut clips precisely in your timeline using the Razor tool.
Cutting a clip creates a new, separate instance of the original, with updated In and Out points that define a revised version of the original content.
Select the Razor tool on the panel.
Select on the clip where you want to create a split.
To split only the audio or video portion of linked clips, use Alt-click (Windows) or Option-click (macOS) while working with the Razor tool.
