Use simple text prompts (in more than 100 languages) to add or remove content from your images non-destructively. View the new content created in a Generative Layer, and choose from a selection of creative possibilities.
With the introduction of Generative Fill on the iPad, powered by Adobe Firefly, you now have the power and precision of Photoshop at your fingertips without being tethered to a desk.
From conceptualizing creative ideas to making complex edits and refinements, Generative Fill can help you quickly realize your vision with only a few keystrokes.
How to use Generative Fill
Follow these steps to use Generative Fill in Photoshop on the iPad:

Select an area in your image by tapping Lasso or any other Selection tool.
To know more about Lasso in Selection tools, check out Make selections and add masks.

Access Generative Fill.
Tap the Generative Fill button in the Contextual Prompt that appears.

Tap Agree to agree to the User Guidelines.
A legal dialog appears upon selecting Generative Fill. Select Agree to agree to the User Guidelines and Cancel to remove the dialog.

Add your text prompt.
Use the text-entry prompt box in the Contextual Prompt to describe the content or scene you want to generate in your image as a Generative Fill layer. Without a prompt, the app will fill the empty space with content that seamlessly blends with the existing image.

Choose from the generated variations.
Tap Generate after entering the text prompt. You'll be able to see thumbnail previews of the generated variations in the Properties panel and the new Generative Layer in the Layers panel.
Select the Generative Layer to bring up the Properties panel to further edit your text prompt or work with the variations.

Generate more variations.
(Optional) To generate additional variations, modify the text prompt and tap Generate in the Properties panel.
Tap the three-dot icon in the top-right corner of the variation to delete it from the Properties panel.
