Learn how to compare edited and original photos in detail view.

Follow along with any project to learn how to compare original and edited photos.

  1. On the Lightroom on the web homepage, select All Photos.

  2. Select an image to open it in detail view, and then select Compare  .

    Note:

    You can only compare photos when you’re in detail view. 

  3. Once you select Compare  , two of the windows open in detail view which shows:

    • Current: Edited version of your photo that you can continue to adjust.
    • Original: Unedited version of the same photo, so you can compare it with your changes.
    Tip:

    You can also change the Orientation by holding Compare   from Left/Right to Top/Bottom.  

  4. Select Swap   to swap the Current and Original window.

Alert:

The comparison view isn't available for videos, so you won't be able to compare video files side by side.
