Learn how to use a reference image to generate content.
Reference Image is a beta feature in Photoshop on web now available for testing and feedback.
Upload a Reference image to guide the content of variations when using Generative fill. This approach ensures relevant and customized results, offering better control than text prompts, especially for styles or details that are difficult to describe.
Select Select > Lasso and make a freehand selection.
In the Contextual task bar that appears, select Generative fill .
Select the Reference image icon to upload a reference image.
Type an effective prompt in the Prompt textbox to pair it with the reference image.
Select Generate .
Note
Generative fill deducts one standard generative credit per generation.
Select the desired image from the Contextual task bar.
