Learn how to use Adobe Connect's onboarding tour, designed to help new hosts get acquainted with the meeting room interface through guided, step-by-step instructions.

Adobe Connect offers an onboarding tour that helps new hosts learn about the meeting room interface. When a host first enters a new room, the tour starts automatically and uses guided help to highlight key features and tools.

This section explains how the onboarding tour is triggered, what steps it includes, and how to relaunch it if needed.

Note

The new host onboarding feature is only visible to the host of the room. Presenters and participants will see the Help Center   instead.

Tour the onboarding interface

The onboarding tour starts automatically when a host enters a newly created room for the first time. It uses visual guidance to walk them through key elements of the meeting interface.

The onboarding tour highlights the following features:

Rooms

This guided help introduces rooms in Adobe Connect. A room is your dedicated virtual space for meetings and sessions. Rooms are persistent, so any layouts, Pods, or content you add stay in place and can be reused across sessions.

Pods

This step introduces Pods, the interactive building blocks of layouts in Adobe Connect meeting rooms. Each pod serves a specific purpose, such as sharing content, displaying attendees, hosting chat discussions, or launching polls. You can resize, move, or hide Pods to suit the needs of the session.

Layouts panel

This step introduces the Layouts panel, located on the right side of the meeting room. In Adobe Connect, a layout is a custom arrangement of Pods designed to guide participant focus during different parts of a session.

Layouts help hosts manage content delivery by switching between views tailored to specific activities, such as presenting, breakout discussions, or collaboration. You can switch between session modes seamlessly, as each layout retains the position and visibility of Pods, eliminating the need to reconfigure the room.
