Remove objects

Learn how to use Firefly on mobile to remove unnecessary elements of your image without altering the original.

  1. Open Firefly on mobile. 

  2. Select Generative fill.

  3. Upload an image or select an image from the gallery.

    Choose an image to upload or use a sample asset.

  4. Tap Remove and brush over the area or object you want to remove.

    Tip:

    If you want to replace the background, tap the Background option and use the text prompt to generate a new one.

  5. Tap   Remove.

  6. Choose an image from the generated results or tap More to create new variations.

  7. Tap Keep to continue with the selected image, or tap Cancel to discard the variations.

    Browse through the generated options to select the one that best matches your vision.

  8. Tap Export icon to download the image or open it in Adobe Express for further editing.
