Edit generated images

Learn how to edit your generated images on the go with Firefly on mobile.

  1. Open Firefly on mobile.

  2. Tap the menu icon > Files, and then the image to edit.

  3. The image will open in editor mode alongside the other generated variations. To access the editing options, select the image you want to edit, tap on it, and select Edit.

  4. Tap Edit and choose from the following options to edit the image.

    • Generative fill: Edit the image to add, expand, or remove content.
    • Generate similar: Rerun the prompt and generate images that closely resemble the selected one.
    • Use as composition reference: Add an object image to include in the generated result or upload a reference to match its shape and depth.
    • Use as style reference: Use the image's style to create similar variations.
    Tip:

    You can also use the Generate video option to automatically add the image as the first frame to generate a video using the Image to video feature, or select Create a design to open the image in Adobe Express.

    When you tap a generated image, you'll see several options. The Edit option is selected, and you can choose from options like Generate video, Generative similar, Use as style reference, and more.
    Try the Edit option to access a range of tools, including the ability to generate a video using the Image to Video feature.
