Match image composition with reference image

Learn how to generate image variations that match the structure of a reference image using Firefly on mobile.

An image’s structure is defined by its composition, the way elements and components are arranged within the frame. Adobe Firefly considers outline and depth when matching the structure of a reference image. 

When generating an image, you can upload a reference image to guide its shape and depth and control how closely the generated image variations should adhere to the reference.

  1. Open Firefly on mobile. 

  2. On the home screen, tap Text to image.

  3. Enter a text prompt.

  4. Under General, choose the model you’d like to use and set the aspect ratio for the generated image variations.

  5. Specify the Content type and adjust the Visual intensity.

  6. Tap Composition.

    The Composition option is selected to generate new set of image variations with adherence to the reference.
    Select Composition to upload a reference image and generate images that follow its style or structure.

  7. Tap Upload image to browse for an image on your device, or choose one from the library.

  8. Adjust the Strength slider to control the adherence to the reference image.

    The Composition tab is open, and the Strength slider is adjusted to specify the outline intensity and depth adherence in the generated variations.

  9. Tap Generate   icon to generate image variations that match the compositon of the reference image.

    The image variations that match the composition of the reference image are displayed.
