With unlimited scrolling in the all-new Adobe Captivate, you've got the freedom to present content that is modern and as flexible as your learner’s devices.

What is a long scroll

A long scroll design method allows an interface to deliver a large quantity of content in a single, uninterrupted vertical flow.  Long scrolls can provide a smooth and engaging browsing experience as users can effortlessly explore content without interruptions.

Long scroll in Adobe Captivate

Implementing a long scroll in Adobe Captivate is easy. Create a project and add as many content blocks as you want.

This allows you, for example, to add text blocks, media blocks, interactive components, and widgets on a single content slide. Scrolling the slide in preview mode lets you view all the content blocks sequentially.

The slide's height auto increases to accommodate new content.

Create a long scroll project

  1. Open a Captivate project and add any content block, for example, Paragraph, in the left toolbar.

  2. Select a text content block on the slide and customize the properties of the text from the Visual Properties panel. For more information on working with text in Adobe Captivate, see Work with text.

  3. Add an image as a background in the Appearance section. You can then use the image fill or fit options.

For more information on working with images, see Images in Adobe Captivate.

  4. Add another content block to the slide.

  5. Continue customizing the content block and adding additional content blocks to create your infinite scrolling course. You can select the Widget icon to add widgets like cards, tabs, carousel, timelines, and so on.

Similarly, you can add other content blocks to the slide.

You can preview the slide and play all the content blocks in a single go by scrolling till the end of a course.
