Learn how to easily remove specific areas of an image using the Erase tool in Adobe Express.

Follow along with any design and learn how to use the Erase tool.

  1. Open a design in the Adobe Express editor.

  2. Select an image on the page, then from the Image properties panel select Erase.

  3. Open the Brush dropdown and use Quick Selection to automatically select an area or use the Circle Brush to manually paint over it.

  4. Use the slider to adjust the brush's Size, Hardness, and Opacity.

  5. Brush over the unwanted area of the image, then select Done.
    Tip: If you remove too much, use Restore to paint it back.

  6. Select Reset to restore the image to its original format or Invert to reverse the cutout selection.
