Co-Teacher Permissions in Adobe Express for Education

Last updated on Jul 30, 2025

Learn what co-teachers can do in Adobe Express for Education classrooms.

Co-teachers have the same access and functionality as the lead teacher, allowing them to fully support students and manage classroom activities.

Co-teacher capabilities

Co-teachers can:

  • Add or remove students.
  • Create and manage assignments.
  • View and comment on student projects.
  • Access class galleries.
  • Receive the same classroom notifications as the lead teacher.
  • Have the same permissions as the original teacher, including the ability to remove them from the class if needed.

Visibility to students

If a co-teacher invites students to a class or assignment or comments on their work, their name will be visible to students.

Classroom access and notifications

Once invited, the class will automatically appear in the co-teachers' Classrooms tab in Adobe Express—even if they miss the email notification. The email simply serves as a helpful reminder.

Limits and requirements

  • You can add up to 100 co-teachers to a classroom.
  • The lead teacher can remove a co-teacher at any time from the Class settings.
  • All teachers must use education-verified Adobe accounts, usually with school email addresses.
  • All accounts must belong to the same district or approved organization setup.
