Last updated on Oct 15, 2025

Learn about what classrooms are in Adobe Express for Education and how they help teachers organize assignments and student work.

A classroom in Adobe Express for Education is a digital space teachers create to organize students and assignments. It brings together class members in one secure environment where teachers can manage work, provide feedback, and track progress.

Roles in a classroom

  • Lead teacher: Creates the classroom and has full control. Lead teachers can invite or remove students, create assignments, and add or remove co-teachers.
  • Co-teachers: Additional teachers can be invited to join a classroom. They have the same permissions as the lead teacher, including the ability to remove other co-teachers or lead teachers. A classroom can have up to 100 co-teachers.

Access and notifications

  • When a co-teacher is invited, the class automatically appears in their Classrooms tab. Also, the co-teacher receives an email notifying them that they have been added to the class.
  • If a co-teacher invites students to a class or assignment or comments on their work, their name is visible to students.

Requirements

  • All teachers must use education-verified Adobe Accounts, usually with their school email addresses.
  • Teacher accounts must belong to the same district or an approved organization setup.
