Get answers to frequently asked questions about managing Adobe Express for Education classrooms, including what happens when you delete or reuse classes and how to handle older assignments.

Adobe Express does not currently offer a dedicated class archiving feature. If you'd like to hide a class but keep its data, we recommend creating an archive classroom—a new class where you move important assignment content.

Adobe Express currently doesn’t offer a built-in class archiving feature. We don’t recommend deleting classrooms unless you’re sure you no longer need the content. Deleting a class will remove all data, including assignments, student projects, and student access.

Instead, you can preserve key content by following these steps:

  1. Ask students to duplicate their work so they retain access after deletion.

  2. To duplicate student projects you want to keep, open each project, go to the File menu, and choose Duplicate. Store these in a new folder in Your stuff.

  3. Archive assignments by creating a new class (e.g., “Assignment Archives”) without inviting students. Use the Reuse > Select the new class > Save a draft option to copy existing assignments into the new class as drafts.

  4. Once all important content is saved, you can delete the original classroom. Go to the class card, select the three-dots   icon, select Edit, then Delete in the Edit Class window.

Deleting a class permanently removes all classroom data, including assignments, student projects, and any class gallery. This action cannot be undone.

Yes. Before deleting a class:

  • Duplicate each student project you wish to save.

  • Once saved, student projects will be available in Your stuff.

No. Deleted classrooms and their content (including student work) cannot be recovered.

Select the three-dots   icon on the assignment > choose Reuse.

We don’t recommend this. Removing students also deletes their work from the class.

If your district uses Clever or Classlink, your new classes will appear automatically once synced. Past rostered classes will persist unless manually deleted.

When you delete your classroom, all classroom data will be deleted. Additionally, any students you invited into your classroom may have their access to Adobe Express revoked if their accounts were created when you invited them to your Adobe Express class.

No. All class data, including galleries and assignments, is deleted when the class is deleted.
