AI Assistant in Adobe Express helps you create and edit designs using natural language. Describe what you want, and it creates designs from scratch, edits specific design elements, and restyles photos. AI Assistant understands your design, so it makes focused changes. You can turn it on or off at any time to choose between AI-powered editing and making changes yourself.

Get started
Open the Adobe Express homepage, toggle on AI Assistant Beta. Once enabled, you can use prompts and suggestions from AI Assistant to create and edit designs or restyle images.
AI Assistant is currently available as a beta feature on desktop for individual Premium and Free plans. Teams, Enterprise, and Education plans are not supported yet. AI Assistant supports English, French, German, Japanese, Hindi, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Explore what you can do
AI Assistant helps you move from idea to finished design faster. It understands your intent, and suggests designs, tools, and next steps so you can keep creating without starting over.
- Start creating: Describe what you want to create, or start with a template that aligns with your design intent.
- Make edits: Edit specific design elements, layers, or multiple assets without disrupting the rest of your design. AI Assistant interprets requests, offers inline suggestions, and shows relevant tools to help you fine‑tune your work.
- Edit and restyle images: Type any prompt to make major transformations to your photo or choose from restyle presets to apply popular styles like Kawaii, gel lighting, and more, and then fine‑tune the results with manual edits.

Generative AI models used
AI Assistant combines Adobe Firefly and third-party models to power generative features, and automatically selects the best model for the task. You cannot manually select a model. In addition to Firefly, the listed partner models are used for image generation. Learn more about the models and their qualities:

- Flux.1 Kontext by Black Forest Labs: Image generation with professional and high-resolution images.
