Create graphs

Learn how to create different types of graphs in Adobe Illustrator to represent data visually.

Illustrator helps you convert data into multiple easy-to-understand graphs like column, line, pie, and scatter graphs.

Before you begin

Prepare your data or copy it from a spreadsheet. You can enter or modify it using the Graph Data window.

Select and hold the Column Graph tool to view all available graph types.

To set the graph's dimensions, drag diagonally from one corner to the opposite corner. The dimensions apply only to the graph, not the labels or legend.

Tip

You can also select where to create the graph, enter a width and height, and select OK.

Enter data for the graph in the Graph Data window.  Arrange the data in the specific order required for each type of graph.

Select Apply , or press the Enter key on the numeric keypad to create the graph.
