Installation failed due to a lack of administrator access |
This error occurs if you don’t have administrator access to install apps on your computer, or if you select No or Cancel when prompted to enter an administrator password.
Windows: If the issue persists, open Task Manager and select the Details tab. Locate and select the process AdobeExtensionsService.exe, then select End task. Once the background process closes, install the plugin again. |
-192 |
Extension Manager init failed, status = -192! |
The Creative Cloud desktop app version is outdated. Update to the latest version of the Creative Cloud desktop app, and then install your extension or plugin again. |
-201, 204 |
Couldn't install plugin |
This error only occurs on macOS Catalina and later versions.

This error occurs when the plugin isn't signed or has no digital signature. Request the developer to sign the plugin and verify its authenticity. |

The Creative Cloud app version isn't compatible. Ensure you have installed a compatible version of the Creative Cloud app, and then install the plugin again. |

Read the descriptions of the plugins or extensions you need to install to determine the correct order. Then, install the plugins and extensions in the correct order to resolve this issue. |
-412 |
An add-on with the same name has already been installed. |
Check if the extension or plugin you have installed is the one you need. If you have a different product with the same name and want the version available through Creative Cloud Marketplace, uninstall the current one. Then, install the extension or plugin from Creative Cloud Marketplace. |

Newer version of this add-on has already been installed |
Remove any newer versions you've previously installed to install the specific version offered through Creative Cloud Marketplace. Then, reinstall the older version through the Creative Cloud Marketplace.

The installed Creative Cloud app does not support the UXP Hybrid plugin you are trying to install. Install the compatible version, then close the Creative Cloud desktop app and any installed apps. Next, reopen the Creative Cloud desktop app and install the extension or plugin again. |
