Add text to designs

Learn how to add text to a design in Adobe Express.

Add text

  1. Open a design in the Adobe Express editor.

  2. Select Text from the left panel and then select Add your text.

  3. Type in your text or select the   icon > Paste, to insert copied text.

    Note:
    • Select the   icon to Duplicate, Copy, or reposition the text in front or behind other design assets, and more.
    • Use the   icon to add a hyperlink to your text. To remove the text, use the   icon.
  4. Select the text box to open the Text properties panel, where you can adjust the font, size, color, alignment, Text layouts, and more.

Tip:

After adding your text, elevate it with shadow effects and refine the content using Rewrite.

Spellcheck your content

To spellcheck the text, right-click any word underlined in red to view and select a suggested correction.

Note:
  • Spellchecker is supported for most of the Adobe Express supported languages except Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.
  • If your language supports multiple profiles, please make sure to update your Adobe profile language to your desired locale (For example, en_US, en_UK, en_CA, etc.).

To turn off Spellchecker, right-click any text and toggle off Check spelling.
