Continue app updates and installations by addressing errors caused by background apps or processes.

Background apps or processes can cause installation errors

Some apps or processes run in the background, even when no files or apps are visible. These may interfere with the installation, causing it to pause or stop temporarily.

In these cases, you might see one of the following error messages:

  • Please close the following application/process to continue: - LogTransport2
  • Please save your work and close the following programs, then click Continue
  • "Close any conflicting apps or processes to proceed with the installation or update."

To resolve this error, close any open apps or processes that might be interfering with he installation, and then install the app again. Follow the steps to close apps and processes for your operating system:
