Learn how to resolve error code 192 "A newer version of the application is already installed" during Adobe app installation.
Error code 192 indicates that the installation has failed, as a newer version of the app is already installed on your computer.
Solution
Uninstall the version installed on your system, and then install the app again.
Note
If your screen looks different, follow the instructions for the earlier versions of the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Go to Apps > All Apps, and select More actions for the app you want to uninstall.
Select Uninstall in the context menu.
Select Keep, Remove, or Cancel, based on your preference.
- Keep: Retains the app notifications, alerts, interface settings, plugins, and other preferences
- Remove: Removes the app notifications, alerts, interface settings, plugins, and other preferences
- Cancel: Cancels the uninstallation
Install the app again.
You can also install an older version of your app using the Creative Cloud desktop app.
