Discover how to quickly find and customize keyboard shortcuts for tools, buttons, and menu commands in Premiere

Find shortcuts for tools or buttons

Hover your pointer over the tool or button. A tooltip will appear, and if a shortcut exists, it will appear after the tool description.

Locate shortcuts for menu commands

Open the menu and look to the right of the command. The keyboard shortcut (if available) will be listed there.

Check common shortcuts

Check the tables for frequently used shortcuts that don’t appear in tooltips or menus.

View the list of default and custom shortcuts

  • In Premiere (Windows), go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts
  • In Premiere (macOS), go to Premiere > Keyboard Shortcuts

Search for specific commands

Use the search field in the Keyboard Customization dialog box to quickly find shortcuts for specific commands.

  • In Premiere (Windows), go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts to access the search field.
  • In Premiere (macOS), go to Premiere > Keyboard Shortcuts to access the search field.
