Resize imported images

Learn how to resize imported images in Adobe Premiere to enhance your video project’s visuals.

Imported images usually have a higher resolution than imported videos, so they appear cropped when viewed on the Timeline in Premiere.

You can individually adjust the scale of the clips to match the sequence frame size. Or you can use the Set to Frame Size command to quickly resize the image.

When you use the Set To Frame Size command, the image’s native pixel resolution is preserved, allowing you to see the sharpest resolution when you zoom in on it.

Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (macOS) an image in the timeline.

Select Set To Frame Size.
